Coming Soon- The DCLC: Acton Children's Business Fair

We are pleased to announce that the community will have an exciting opportunity to see a piece of DCLC- Acton in ACTION. On May 16, 2019 from 10am-1pm, DCLC is giving children the opportunity to launch their very own startup business.

At the first annual DCLC: Acton Children's Business Fair, young entrepreneurs will have the chance to make, sell, and dream big. Rustic Red Door, a company in Perkiomenville, that designs and creates superior quality American-made furniture, millwork and wall décor for both residential and commercial spaces is holding the event at their warehouse.

Rustic Red Door wanted to become involved with the Children's Business Fair because owner Kerry Smith states, “I am very passionate about taking your dreams & making them a reality. Nothing is more satisfying than taking something from the very beginning & building into something that would have never existed. My favorite saying is "The world is your oyster" & I truly believe that anyone can do anything they set their mind to. This is a powerful message for young kids & I'm happy to be part of a program that promotes that!”

ALL Children in the community and surrounding communities, who are currently in grades 1-8, are encouraged to participate. These young entrepreneurs are invited to develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace.

DCLC is seeking the support of local businesses to sponsor the young entrepreneurs and encouraging the community to attend this epic event that is guaranteed to brighten the community. At DCLC we believe that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.

This isn’t your backyard lemonade stand! This event will give the community the opportunity to support businesses created and launched by children. This is an experience your children will never forget.

At DCLC: An Acton Academy, we believe heroes are all around us. And we believe each of the ordinary yet extraordinary geniuses who cross our threshold deserve to find a calling that will change the world. And in the process, they too will be transformed, young people and parents alike, discovering they are far more capable than they ever imagined.
